Ginza Bees Concept

The Ginza Bees is a conceptual Japanese baseball (NPB) team inspired by the rooftop honey bee sanctuary efforts in the Ginza district of Tokyo, Japan. The Ginza Honeybee Project is a non-profit organization with the goal to transform the rooftop spaces of high rise buildings in Ginza, Tokyo into honeybee sanctuaries. The concept is to reintroduce nature into an urban environment while also promoting the sustainable production of natural products. The idea of the Ginza Bees baseball team is to act as the front runner and support system to rally attention to the non-profit environmental awareness project via fundraisers and other sponsored community events.

Inspiration: Challenging myself to visualize how a passion for design, environmental awareness and baseball can combine as one. A recent interest in the unique culture surrounding Japanese baseball and the Japanese Professional Baseball League (NPB). The project originally started out as the secondary logo I randomly came up with and that logo inspired the exploration for a more detailed concept. The surrounding branding was created based on that concept after the initial discovery and experimentation.

Note: this project (aside from the NPB and the Ginza Honeybee Project being real life organizations) is a proof of concept not intended for real life application.
